Nicole Miller is a luxury woman’s wear brand based in New York City.
Working at Nicole Miller has been an amazing opportunity. I started by working in our retail in Philadelphia. Naturally when I had the chance for an internship my first choice was to round out my experience at Nicole Miller by learning what it takes to make the business “go-round” in the corporate NYC office. I started by interning on design for the summer which turned into working on the production team throughout the school year and eventually the the marketing and graphics department where I am now.
As most of our business is garnered online, e-mail marketing is at the crux of our strategy. These are just several emails that I have collaborated with the team to create clever copy and striking photos and layouts. The holiday card to the left features an original holiday drawing as well.
We stay social! At Nicole Miller social media marketing is a huge driver of sales. Part of my job is to create exciting graphics and pictures that we can use to keep our audience engaged and on their toes. From gifs to collages, I experiment and produce different types of content but always stay true to our brand messaging of high-end woman’s wear.
With so many samples and so little time, Adobe Photoshop comes in to save the day. Often times there are multiple changes that are made throughout the production process which may or may not be completed by the time the photos are taken. A portion of my position is dedicated to making these adjustments so that the final photos are accurate and reflect all the color-ways available. Below is an example of turning this camo green sweat-suit into its other color, beige.
